sick...again
sometimes i wonder if that old saying about knocking on wood after you say something bad. in hopes that it doesn't happen. i mean...really? why do we do that. well, several weeks ago at bible study i was chatting with a group of gals and made the statement that we had had much illness in our home this winter. WOW! less than 23 hours later, my middle guy shot up a fever of 102.9. what...i mean really...funny thing i even leaned over and knocked on wood, that was suppose to help right. well, it backfired. all three of my little guys have ended up with fevers, runny noses, coughs. which equals, mom not going to school, make-shift sub plans, several trips to the peds office, hometown pharmacy, and yes many many hours of snuggles ( ok, I wouldn't trade that part). here is to hoping that all finally blows over and doesn't come back. hope you all are doing well.

again
as i still try to process the happenings in my life over the past two years, i often sit back and ponder about the what if's. i often find more worries and anxieties in the process. seldom do i find happy thoughts that would bring me back to this state of mind. why do i keep coming back? is it a bad habit? it is the comfort of knowing what really happened?
most of my days are spent with 6 year olds. they are insightful little people that have huge hearts, busy hands, and consistently moving mouths. but wisdom as well. sadden to think that many overlook them and their brilliant ideas most days. well back to my ponderings. we (my 6 year old friends and i) call these ponderings "mind trips". we found it appropriate because they often are on them during my teaching of phonics, handwriting, and base 10 math. stay tuned to read about our "mind trips".
